*SUMMARY**: *The Parts Room Clerk will use independent judgment to work in the Tillage Parts Room accurately maintaining parts inventory at the assigned Pacific Ag Rentals branch.
This individual will perform a variety of customer service and stocking duties related to the parts sales, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the parts department.
They will use available resources for maintaining inventory and shipping and receiving.
They will maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
*Operations:* · Directly responsible for all incoming Tillage Part shipments, which may include, but are not limited to loading and unloading · Maintain record of all shipments both inbound and outbound.
All transactional processing procedures should be followed using PAR guidelines · Take a proactive approach to inventory control by assisting and/or reporting discrepancies · Receive, ship, and store parts as needed in accordance with DOT local, state and federal guidelines · Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information · Pick up and deliver parts for customers and vendors as needed · Mark and store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system and assist with cycle count duties · Source “Best Value” vendors · Maintain facility, yard, shop clean (sweeping, picking up trash, washing windows, etc.
) *Customer Service:* · Communicate all freight charges and status of shipments · Ensure internal and external customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner through utilization of PAR procedures · Communicates with Supervisor about shop questions or needs in either written or verbal form in a clear, professional and efficient manner General Requirements: · Comfortable and willing to move/use equipment such as, but not limited to, forklifts, large tractors, water trucks, RTVs, etc.
· Establishes and maintains effective channels of communications with management, co‑workers, vendors and all other business contacts · Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common sense rules of safety in all on the job activities · Conducts self in a manner reflecting positively on PAR and STAR and encourages others to do the same · Is organized, independent and self‑motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail‑oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence · Demonstrates proficient written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence · Prioritize tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities to ensure positive outcomes · Ability to multi-task · A belief in working as a cohesive team · Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set · Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts · Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and outstanding customer service · Maintain an organized work environment · Present a neat, professional appearance · Arrive at work at scheduled time, including being prepared to work on time after breaks and meal periods · Maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record (if authorized to drive by HR Manager) · Must be eligible to be added to company insurance · Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner *QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS* *Education and/or Experience: * * At least 2 years of experience in a similar work environment with a proven track record of strong organizational skills, effective decision-making and excellent people skills * Knowledge of parts operating system preferred but not required *Computer Skills:* · Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite preferred *Language Skills: * · Bilingual English / Spanish preferred * Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing *Mathematical Skills: * · Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations *Reasoning Ability:* * Good reading skills to consult equipment manuals * Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions *WORKING CONDITIONS**: *The working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
